Even as many bird populations face decline, every backyard garden has the power to make a difference. In this hopeful and practical seminar, led by award winning journalist and author Jen McGuinness, learn what birds need to thrive, how to use organic practices and native plants to meet those needs, and which trees, shrubs, and flowers attract specific species. With inspiring ideas and easy actions, this session shows how helping birds also helps create more balanced, life-filled gardens for us all.

Jen McGuinness is the garden writer and photographer behind Frau Zinnie (FrauZinnie.com), where she shares personal gardening insights, expert interviews, and seasonal inspiration. She is the author of "Micro Food Gardening" and the award-winning "Bird-Friendly Gardening," both published by Cool Springs Press. Based in Connecticut, Jen champions organic and wildlife-friendly gardening and brings a background in journalism, communications and visual storytelling to her work.
