The Simsbury Camera Club is presenting Long Island-based photographer Ken Scheben as he shares his journey from traditional day time imaging to capturing the jewels of the night sky. Ken was Vice President of Marketing for a Fortune 100 company when he found he was spending most of his free time chasing shots of wildlife. He refined his photo editing skills and after retiring from his commercial job, began to offer photography services to several watch brands. Eventually, Ken branched out into the Real Estate industry where he provided imaging services for high-end property listings. Around this time, he became a Federally licensed drone pilot.
When Covid 19 swept through America, boredom set in and Ken began to ponder how to use his camera equipment without traveling. His answer was to point his
lenses to the night sky. And so began a journey that has become a true obsession.
