Event Details

Damien Cregeau will provide a visually rich PowerPoint presentation about the many important and fascinating portraits of General then President George Washington.  Artists include Gilbert Stuart of Rhode Island, John Trumbull of Connecticut and Charles Willson Peale of Philadelphia.  Less famous artists will also be included. Emphasis will be placed on Trumbull since he is from Connecticut and many of his paintings are on view at the Yale University Art Gallery.
