The Friends of the Simsbury Public Library will host poet, Patricia Mason-Martin, on Thursday, September 29 at 7pm in the Friends Program Room. She will share poems from her recently published poetry book, In Venice I Could Sing. Her poetry has been published in several anthologies and magazines including Poets to Come, an anthology celebrating Walt Whitman’s 200th birthday, Fired Up! Creative Expression for Challenging TimesGoddess: Raising Consciousness through Spoken WordWaterWrites: A Hudson River Anthology, and will be included in the upcoming anthology Connecticut Bards: Poetry Review 2022.  Patti started her career at a major independent television station in New York City, worked in communications and public relations, is the author of six nonfiction books, is a communications professional, performer, and was the creator and host of SpeakEasy, a monthly poetry/spoken word series that took place month at the Noelke Gallery in Torrington until the COVID pandemic. She lives in Torrington, CT.
