New York Times bestselling author Kat Rosenfield will join the Friends on Wednesday, April 8 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Friends program room to discuss How to Survive in the Woods, her soon-to-be published thriller novel. Set in Maine's Hundred Mile Wilderness—the treacherous final stretch of the storied Appalachian Trail, this heart-stopping, psychologically rich tale of passion, betrayal and control takes readers on a twisty journey deep into Maine’s backcountry and in the dark minds of an unforgettable cast of characters. How to Survive in the Woods is being adapted by Amazon MGM for feature film, with Denise Di Novi (Heathers) producing.

Kat Rosenfield is a freelance pop culture and political writer and the author of six books, including You Must Remember This and No One Will Miss Her (Edgar Award nominee for Best Novel), and the New York Times-bestselling A Trick of Light, co-authored with the late, great Stan Lee. A former reporter for MTV News and current columnist for The Free Press, her essays and cultural criticism have appeared in The Boston Globe, Vulture, Wired, AirMail, and The New York Times. She lives in Connecticut.
