DESCRIPTION:Game Club this week is historical miniature war games! Partici
 pants will play the Battle of Ridgefield using small miniature figures rep
 resenting the British and the Continental Army. The Battle of Ridgefield i
 s a real battle that happened during the Revolutionary War. On April 25, 1
 777, British troops landed not far from the Westport library on Compo Beac
 h and marched north to Danbury to burn Continental Army supplies. While th
 e American colonial regulars and militia could not reach Danbury in time, 
 they made a stand in Ridgefield to try and stop the British from returning
  to their ships.Please pre-register. Games are facilitated by experts from
  HMGS Next Gen, Inc., who have great experience in running games that are 
 fun and challenging for players. This event is for rising grades 7-12.
