The Friends of the Simsbury Public Library will host poet, Patricia Mason-Martin, on Thursday, September 29 at 7pm in the Friends Program Room. She will share poems from her recently published poetry book, In Venice I Could Sing. Her poetry has been published in several anthologies and magazines including Poets to Come, an anthology celebrating Walt Whitman’s 200th birthday, Fired Up! Creative Expression for Challenging Times, Goddess: Raising Consciousness through Spoken Word, WaterWrites: A Hudson River Anthology, and will be included in the upcoming anthology Connecticut Bards: Poetry Review 2022. Patti started her career at a major independent television station in New York City, worked in communications and public relations, is the author of six nonfiction books, is a communications professional, performer, and was the creator and host of SpeakEasy, a monthly poetry/spoken word series that took place month at the Noelke Gallery in Torrington until the COVID pandemic. She lives in Torrington, CT.
