What happens when you call 911? This talk, presented by the Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association, will walk you through what happens from the moment someone calls 911 all the way to arriving at the hospital. Topics will include:
- What questions the dispatcher will ask.
- What to expect when the ambulance arrives arrive.
- Questions we will ask.
- Procedures we will do in-house.
- Situations when we do not transport (death).
- How we move patients to the ambulance.
- What will happen en route to hospital.
- What will happen once we arrive at hospital.
There will be a question and answer period after the talk.
Patrons will also have the opportunity to have their vitals checked, including Blood Pressure, Pulse and Pulse OX.
