Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Our new Morning Knitting Group is a welcoming space for knitters of all levels to gather, share ideas, and enjoy the art of knitting together.

Hit the trail with the Library! Join us on different hikes around Simsbury. All participants who are able to walk independently are welcome. Please bring water and bug repellent. Hiking footwear recommend.

Hola Bebé is a Spanish language storytime. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes. Whether you already speak Spanish or want to learn something new, this is a fun program for all.

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually. 

Come catch a Friday matinee at the library! This week, catch Moana 2 (2024), popcorn included. Space will be provided up front, for children who want to bring their own blankets and pillows.

Join us and a Simsbury Camera Club photographer will take your child's back-to-school photos! Kids will also get a fun back-to-school themed craft to do at the library or take home. Participants will be emailed their digital photos/files.

Join us to make an "All About Me" poster for back to school. Children can share the final product with their new teachers to help them get to know more about your child. 

Join us for a Pokémon card swap and share your love of the game with other kids in our community. Children should bring their own cards to trade with or to show off to other children.

Join us to make a vision board for back to school. Children can use collage materials and draw pictures to help with goal setting or things they'd like to do in the new school year.

Based on a different prompt each month, local adult poets will write poems to share with the group for constructive feedback.
