We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Our new Morning Knitting Group is a welcoming space for knitters of all levels to gather, share ideas, and enjoy the art of knitting together.

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Sing, dance, and experience the parachute in this fun early childhood music program.

Early Explorers is a toddler enrichment program that will allow your toddler time to socialize with other toddlers while also engaging in a variety of activities each week that are fun, engaging, educational and developmentally appropriate. 

Hit the trail with the Library! Join us on different hikes around Simsbury. All participants who are able to walk independently are welcome. Please bring water and bug repellent. Hiking footwear recommend.

Join us for a special Halloween themed storytime! Children (and parents) are encouraged to dress in costume. Storytime will be followed by a parade children can collect candy at each service desk in the library.

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

Come check out our special Saturday Spanish language storytime (in honor of  Dia De Los Muertos) followed by interactive games and activities. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes.

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually.

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

Monsters and Witches and Magic, oh my! The Kinetics Ukes Ensemble presents their 3rd annual Spookulele, a family-friendly musical celebration of Halloween. Lots of great music, a few thrills and chills, and a whole lot of fun!

Coined as the “queen of British historical fiction,” Philippa Gregory returns to the infamous Tudor Court with a tale that is both timely and timeless.

Join the Teen Game Club at the library for a game-filled adventure! Each week, we alternate between playing Nintendo Switch games and board/party games.

Sensory-Friendly Halloween provides a safe, familiar place for all ages with disabilities to practice important social skills with patient, trusted adults.

Join us to play Halloween BINGO to win candy. Kids will also get to make a Halloween craft to take home.

Simsbury Public Library and Simsbury Yarns are teaming up to offer an introduction to knitting class!  

Do you love board games? Come on down for a fun night of board games at the library! We will have board games set up from our Library of Things and you are welcome to bring in your own games from home to play with others!
