We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Our new Morning Knitting Group is a welcoming space for knitters of all levels to gather, share ideas, and enjoy the art of knitting together.

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Children and caregivers will participate in a creative movement class where stationary and locomotor skills will be explored. These concepts include rhythm, tempo, levels, and opposites.

Early Explorers is a toddler enrichment program that will allow your toddler time to socialize with other toddlers while also engaging in a variety of activities each week that are fun, engaging, educational and developmentally appropriate. 

Hola Bebé is a Spanish language storytime. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes. Whether you already speak Spanish or want to learn something new, this is a fun program for all.

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

The Simsbury Children’s Resource Expo is a family-focused event designed to connect residents with local businesses and organizations that provide services, programs, or resources for children and families.

On November 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th the Simsbury Camera Club will be taking family portraits at the Simsbury Public Library. You can use these photos for your holiday cards or a family portrait.

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually.

Embrace the mysterious at our Raven Party! Dress in black, bring a small shiny trinket to trade, and decorate your own trinket box to keep or give away. Snacks will be served while supplies last. This event is intended for Grades 7-8.

Join Library Staff for a 3D Printing workshop! Limited to adults and teens 13+ years of age (teens must be registered for the class with a parent/caregiver.)

Join us for a Pokémon card swap and share your love of the game with other kids in our community. Children should bring their own cards to trade with or to show off to other children.

Join us at the library to build with LEGOs. 

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.

Looking to play more chess? Come check out the Adult Chess Club, where you will have the opportunity to play against fellow chess enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. Please note this is not a class to learn how to play.
