We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Our new Morning Knitting Group is a welcoming space for knitters of all levels to gather, share ideas, and enjoy the art of knitting together.

This program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country. Topics for discussion this year include:

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Sing, dance, and experience the parachute in this fun early childhood music program.

Children ages birth-6 and their caregivers are welcome to join us for playtime in the FSPL Program Room. Kids can choose from different free play activities in a fun and relaxed environment. 

Join us to create a moment of connection between caregiver and child as we build our bilingual/multilingual community. We invite you to interact through movement, visuals, and props, with stories and music in French (and some English).

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually.

This month, you will make Winter Sun Catchers!

Join us for our new series Kitchen Odyssey, where kids will use a variety of tools, skills and techniques to create delicious recipes using the Library's mobile kitchen, The Charlie Cart. This month we will be making Chocolate Truffle Balls.

Join us as Kinetic Ukes play through American roots and popular music favorites. An open mic for ukulele players (including baritone ukes) has also been added! All playing abilities are welcome so come share what you have been working on!

NEW INTERMEDIATE CLASS!

Join the Teen Game Club at the library for a game-filled adventure! Each week, we alternate between playing Nintendo Switch games and board/party games.

Join us for fun hands-on science experiments for kids! This month we will do a fun experiment to learn how frost is made.

Join us at the library to build with LEGOs. 

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.

Looking to play more chess? Come check out the Adult Chess Club, where you will have the opportunity to play against fellow chess enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. Please note this is not a class to learn how to play.

Put your creativity to the challenge with this art filled afternoon activity. A plastic animal, clay plus your choice of googly eyes, feathers, rhinestones and so much more! What will your imagination sculpt?! We can't wait to see!

Simsbury Public Library and Simsbury Yarns are teaming up to offer a new intermediate knitting class series!  

Make friends and build community!. All identities are welcome! Every month, we'll try a different activity. Quieter activities like coloring sheets, legos, and origami are also available for those who need a chill space.

Have you ever thought about where fresh water comes from? How does it gets here? Yes... rainfall brings it; but do you know how and why rain falls across the breadth of the land? Or possibly- why doesn't it?

Come catch a night time movie at the library! This month, catch Valentine's Day (2010), treats, popcorn & water included. You may also bring your own snacks and closed-top beverage.
