Keep Halloween in your heart with our rescheduled Cryptid Paint Night... in the Afternoon! Valerie Ruby-Owen will share a brief history of local cryptids featured in their book Connecticut Cryptids: A Field Guide to the Weird and Wonderful Creatures of the Nutmeg State. Learn about the Black Dog of Hanging Hills, the Winsted Wildman, and more! After the short presentation, participants will learn how to paint their very own cryptid. Let's get spooky!

Cryptids are creatures that people claim to have seen yet their existence has never been scientifically proven. Some examples of such creatures are Bigfoot, the Lochness Monster, and the Mothman.

All supplies are provided. For Grades 7-12. Registration is required.
