Event Details
Just as people train in CPR to help save thousands of lives each year, people train in QPR to learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, how to offer hope, access local and national referral resources, how to get help, and save a life. Participants will also learn about Narcan and how to administer it. This training will be facilitated by Justine Ginsberg, RN, BSN from the Farmington Valley Health District.
Lunch will be provided from Raising Caines. This program is intended for Grades 7-8. Registration is required.
This presentation is a collaboration with the Farmington Valley Health District, Simsbury Social Services, and Simsbury Public Library.
