Event Details

This concert is entitled “Fun with a Looping Cello.” How can one cello play an entire quartet by itself? Randy will provide explanations, demonstrations, and great music using an acoustic cello and a microphone looping pedal to play duets with himself, all the way up to 7 cellos simultaneously. The concert includes classical music, Broadway tunes, a passionate tango, and classic rock songs.

Randy performs solo cello concerts, and performs violin-cello duet concerts with his wife Millie (as the Synergismus Duo). He is assistant principal cellist of the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra. He was previously principal cellist of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra (NJ), the Penfield Symphony Orchestra (NY), and the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra (NY). Randy also runs Custom Chamber Music, an online company that produces customized arrangements of classical music for any combination of instruments. Randy has a Ph.D. in computer science and has spent many years in the computer industry building artificial intelligence and personalization systems. He lives in Killingworth CT.
