Please join us as local author Kara Labella introduces us to two unusual women -- both accused of witchcraft, according to a Phelps family legend, in 1680s Simsbury. She will share the research that allowed her to identify the women in history, leading her to write her novella, The Symsbury Witches. The lecture will include a general discussion of the Connecticut witch trials and short readings from the original Phelps tale, as well as the facts that Kara uncovered.
