Join our distinguished panelists as we explore the 1839 Amistad uprising, the subsequent Supreme Court decision, and the pivotal role CT residents played in supporting the captives struggling to regain their freedom. The Amistad story highlights themes of dehumanization, resilience, freedom and slavery, oppression and empowerment, and the achievement of justice.
