Conversation and Camaraderie (C&C) is a men's group that has been meeting successfully in Avon for the past two years.

Starting your flower and vegetable plants from seed can bring more variety, and very healthy plants, to your garden.

Looking to read more parenting books and want someone to talk to about it? We've got you covered! Join us for our new Parenting Book Club group that will meet on the third Thursday of the month. You can come in person or via zoom! 

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

Are you a homeschooling teen in the Farmington Valley? Want to meet other teens your age? Come hang out at Simsbury Public Library, and we'll have a chill time. For ages 13-18.

Come catch a Friday matinee at the library! This week, catch The Ballad of Wallis Island (2025), popcorn & water included. You may also bring your own snacks and closed-top beverage.

Do you like to knit, crochet, cross stitch, embroider, and/or needle felt? Then bring your current WIP to the Library! Materials will be available for those who want to try out a fiber art. Snacks will be provided.

This program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country. Topics for discussion this year include:

Let’s make art! This is an open studio program where participants can create whatever they want. Art supplies will be provided. For Grades 7-12. 

Do you love board games? Come on down for a fun night of board games at the library! We will have board games set up from our Library of Things and you are welcome to bring in your own games from home to play with others! 

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually. 

Join the Teen Game Club at the library for a game-filled adventure! Each week, we alternate between playing Nintendo Switch games and board/party games.

Join Talcott Mountain Science Center for a hands-on workshop on engaging students in science. Kaitlyn Roberts, our Certified American Meteorological Society Teacher will model multiple approaches while conducting a lesson on weather.
