We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Our new Morning Knitting Group is a welcoming space for knitters of all levels to gather, share ideas, and enjoy the art of knitting together.

This program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country. Topics for discussion this year include:

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Sing, dance, and experience the parachute in this fun early childhood music program.

Join us as we explore colors, numbers, and letters through stories, songs, movement, and more!

Hola Bebé is a Spanish language storytime. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes. Whether you already speak Spanish or want to learn something new, this is a fun program for all.

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

Join friends from the Simsbury Land Trust to learn about composting and meet several of our favorite composting critters in this fun, hands-on program.

Did you take Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome in-person or virtually. 

Mystery Book Group has moved to 100% virtual this season. Join our moderator, Carole Shmurak, from the comfort of your home for an interesting and lively discussion of the mystery book Night Shift by Robin Cook.

Lily Neill performs her signature repertoire of original compositions, alongside a dynamic array of music—from 17th century harp composers, to traditional music from Eastern Europe, ragtime, and tangos.

Let’s make art! This is an open studio program where participants can create whatever they want. Art supplies will be provided. For Grades 7-12. 

Join the Teen Game Club at the library for a game-filled adventure! Each week, we alternate between playing Nintendo Switch games and board/party games.

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.

Looking to play more chess? Come check out the Adult Chess Club, where you will have the opportunity to play against fellow chess enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. Please note this is not a class to learn how to play.
