Are you a parent or caregiver of a child with disabilities? Consider the Parenting Disability Support Group - a safe and supportive space for those who are raising children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Come together in community with other caregivers with similar life experiences to help inform, empower, and inspire. Hybrid meetings - come in-person or via Zoom. For our March meeting we welcome a Special Needs Professional to our support group’s discussion; “ABCs of Planning for the Future of Your Loved One with Special Needs” helps to educate families on the importance of planning for the future of their child or dependent with special needs. Properly addressing the vital issues covered in this presentation ensures not only lifetime care, but quality of life for loved ones. The presentation will address important topics including, but not limited to: Special Needs Trusts, Social Security, Guardian/Conservatorship, and Protecting Government Benefit Eligibility. Registration is required to attend either in-person or virtually.
