We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Meet the Maker with Naima Craft of The Craft in Granby and enjoy a great baking experience in her beautiful location!

Get ready for rhymes, shakers, and songs designed for curious toddlers. Focus will be on a familiar structure to each meeting, so little ones can listen, follow directions, and have lots of fun!

Marie Lim and her guitar present a fun-filled music and movement program. Come sing songs, make music, and move to the beat!

Join us for a program of lap bounces, songs with movement, and books designed for older babies who have begun walking up to 24 months.

Took Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome.

The Avon Free & Simsbury Public Libraries are excited to offer a picture book writing course with Pegi Deitz Shea, two-time winner of the CT Book Award for Children’s Literature.

Songs from the American Songbook selections from Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and others."Just Friends" are Ken Fischer, piano/keyboards, Igor Lepak, bass/vocals, Tido Holtkamp, drums, and John Zenisky, trumpet/flugle horn/vocals.

A Memory Cafe is a relaxed, social gathering for people experiencing memory loss, early stage dementia or a cognitive impairment.

Game on at the library! Every week, we'll try out a different game. We run the gamut from video games like Mario Kart to board games like Exploding Kittens. For grades 7-12. 

We'll read a story together and then do an art project inspired by the book. 

Create a fun, crunchy-but-stretchy texture of slime using a secret ingredient and the power of science. Kids will have some time to play with their slime after they make it and before they take it home.  

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.
