Stop by the Children's Room to pick up a craft to celebrate Thanksgiving. First come, first served, while supplies last. 

We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Get ready for rhymes, shakers, and songs designed for curious toddlers. Focus will be on a familiar structure to each meeting, so little ones can listen, follow directions, and have lots of fun!

Marie Lim and her guitar present a fun-filled music and movement program. Come sing songs, make music, and move to the beat!

Join us for a program of lap bounces, songs with movement, and books designed for older babies who have begun walking up to 24 months. 

Hola Bebé is a Spanish language storytime. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes. Whether you already speak Spanish or want to learn something new, this is a fun program for all.

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

UNCIAL: Come learn Irish Calligraphy which is also known as the Uncial style!

On November 4th and November 18th from 10am until 4:40pm the Simsbury Camera Club will be taking family portraits at the Simsbury Public Library. You can use these photos for your holiday cards or a family portrait.

The Avon Free & Simsbury Public Libraries are excited to offer a picture book writing course with Pegi Deitz Shea, two-time winner of the CT Book Award for Children’s Literature.

Join instructor Pam Palmer in the Library's Innovators' Workshop on how to use the sewing machine. Guidance will be provided on basic sewing machine techniques and how to create simple items. This class does not teach you how to sew.

Uke Hoots are community play alongs for acoustic instruments and voices. Join us as we play through American roots and popular music favorites. All playing abilities are welcome.

Looking for a place to play Dungeons & Dragons after school? Then join our new D&D club for 7th & 8th graders. We'll meet in the Teen Space and take turns running games.

Game on at the library! Every week, we'll try out a different game. We run the gamut from video games like Mario Kart to board games like Exploding Kittens. For grades 7-12. 

Participants will reflect on what they are grateful for and create their own unique gratitude journal.

Join Mary and Mika for the new Tween Club where we'll hang out in the Weatogue Room and do something fun. This month we'll be choosing from a variety of slime types and then making and playing with it before taking it home.

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.

Kids will hand sew a project using a needle, thread, and creativity. This is a 2-session project to complete a single project and children must attend both sessions.
