Week Calendar

We welcome newborns and infants for our interactive program of rhymes, songs, lap bounces, and books for babies. For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers.

Bring your baby to our drop-in playgroup which immediately follows our Born to Read program. Stay for bubbles, conversation with other caregivers, and social tummy time.

Open enrollment period is here and we want to assist you with your health insurance options. The North Central Area Agency on Aging in collaboration with the Simsbury Senior Center is hosting an open enrollment event this year.

Get ready for rhymes, shakers, and songs designed for curious toddlers. Focus will be on a familiar structure to each meeting, so little ones can listen, follow directions, and have lots of fun!

Ms. Marie from our beloved Music with Marie program is moving out of state. We will miss her so much and we know you will too! We invite you and your child to come to the library to make a farewell card for Marie. Supplies will be provided.

Marie Lim and her guitar present a fun-filled music and movement program. Come sing songs, make music, and move to the beat!

Join us for a program of lap bounces, songs with movement, and books designed for older babies who have begun walking up to 24 months. 

Hola Bebé is a Spanish language storytime. Speakers of all languages are welcome to join us for stories, songs and rhymes. Whether you already speak Spanish or want to learn something new, this is a fun program for all.

The Friday English Conversation Club provides a welcoming atmosphere for English as a second-language speakers to participate in lively back-and-forth conversation. Meet and get to know others who are also adjusting to life in the U.S.

A group for people who are interested in writing. Discussions concerning character, plot, dialogue, etc. In class writing. Please bring a paper notebook, pen or pencil to the meeting.

Took Spanish in high school and want to refresh your language skills? Our lively group meets weekly to speak Spanish and discuss various language customs. New members are always welcome.

Looking for something to do on your Half Day? Join us at the Library for a viewing of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse! This movie will be screened in the Teen Space.

The Avon Free & Simsbury Public Libraries are excited to offer a picture book writing course with Pegi Deitz Shea, two-time winner of the CT Book Award for Children’s Literature.

John Adams talks about his life and times in a humorous and inspiring performance and discusses, among many incidents in Adams' life, the Boston Massacre Trial of 1770 where Adams defended 14 British soldiers charged with murder

Join us for this holiday-themed storytelling event as Carol Birch and Megan Wells present Louisa May Alcott's Little Women like you've never seen before.

Looking for a place to play Dungeons & Dragons after school? Then join our new D&D club for 7th & 8th graders. We'll meet in the Teen Space and take turns running games. This club runs until Tuesday, December 19th. 

Join us to make a few ornaments to hang or give as gifts, in time for the Holiday Season. 

For students in grades 2-6 interested in learning to play chess or improving their chess game. Students should know how the chess pieces move before their first visit.

The Simsbury Camera Club is presenting Lewis Katz, a renowned photography educator, who will be covering the many forms of abstract photography and the techniques used to create them.
